Sam Kelman Scholarship

Sam Kelman was and will always be a beloved team member of the North City Heavy Hitters who tragically died in a freak workplace accident on December 30th 2021. 

Sam had a beautiful soul and was passionate about his cricket, gym, work and family. Sam will be hugely missed by anyone he met over his 31 years. Sam was a true gentleman and a good friend to many.

Sam's family have made the amazing gesture to have any donation from the funeral to be gifted to the North City Cricket Club which is greatly appreciated and something Sam would have wanted. All funds received will be used to support young college cricketer/s to access professional cricket coaching and equipment to help them achieve their cricketing dreams. 

The NCCC committee will be working with the Kelman family to develop criteria in which the winner of the Sam Kelman Scholarship will be awarded. 

Once the criteria has been developed the NCCC committee will be in contact with all local colleges that play cricket with the criteria and application process.
